The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish is the "Biggest Kitchen Party in Atlantic Canada" boasting Good Friends, Good Times, Good Music and Lots of World Famous Prince Edward Island Shellfish.
What’s an Island Kitchen Party without great food? Tempt your taste buds with the culinary delights of PEICooks.com, in the Food Pavilion featuring interactive Shellfish Culinary Demos presented by the Culinary Institute of Canada daily . Plus there’s Seafood Chowder, freshly steamed PEI Mussels & Clams and renowned PEI Oysters & Quahogs. Full bar service is also available.
For those serious about seafood chowder, the festival hosts the PEI Potato Seafood Chowder Championship and the Cream International Chowder Championship. Sample these unique chowder dishes as they are served up during each challenge and you be the judge by choosing your own personal favorite.
If it is oysters you are searching for, be sure to attend the Raspberry Point PEI Oyster Shucking Championship, The North American Oyster Shucking Showdown and the JP’s ShellfishWorld Invitational Oyster Shucking Championship. Competitors will amaze the crowd with their skill and speed as they compete against some of the world’s best oyster shuckers.
Or try your hand at shucking oysters! Have you ever wanted to learn how to shuck oysters like a pro? Then join us at the Keep on Shucking with Frank’s RedHot® Oyster Shucking Demos taking place during the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival!
