Check out what’s happening at this year’s PEI Shellfish Festival

Join us for the 2012 PEI Shellfish Festival which happens September 13-16 at the height of the harvest of both land and sea on Prince Edward Island.

A full schedule of events will be posted in the Spring of 2012, but we can promise this year’s festival is going to be bigger and better than ever before!

Your favourite events and activities will still be here at this awesome PEI festival, from the chowder championship and the live entertainment to the oyster shucking contest and all the fresh delicious shellfish you can eat!

The Festival Main Tent is located on the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront in the parking lot across from Peake’s Quay Restaurant & Bar (at the foot of Great George Street). The majority of the Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival activities take place in the Festival Main Tent including the Chowder Championships, Shucking Championships, Entertainment Stage, and Festival Food Pavilion offering bar service, steamed mussels and claims, hot chowder, quahogs, and oysters on the half shell.


Offsite Venues include the featured shellfish restaurants located throughout Downtown Charlottetown. Seafood Excursions and Experiences with: Top Notch Charters - Lobster Fishing Exercursions, Peake's Wharf Boat Cruises , and Culinary Boot Camps at the Culinary Institute of Canada.
