Have you ever wanted to learn how to shuck oysters like a pro? Then join us at the Keep on Shucking with Frank’s RedHot® Oyster Shucking Demos taking place on the Demo Stage in the new Culinary Institute of Canada Food Pavilion!

Try your hand at shucking oysters under the instruction of John Bil and other pros. In addition to learning new skills, you’ll have the opportunity to tap the minds of our experts and find out everything you ever wanted to know about oysters.

John Bil has been involved with oysters and oyster shucking for almost fifteen years. He is the three-time Prince Edward Island, two-time Eastern Canadian, and three-time (1997, 2001 & 2005) Canadian Oyster Shucking Champion. His best finish at the World Championships in Galway, Ireland came in 2001, when he finished sixth. John has been featured in magazine articles, food shows, a documentary film (Keep on Shucking) based on oyster shucking and continues to enthusiastically promote Prince Edward Island oysters.
